Citing rising costs of movie production, CurzTech Productions announced today that no new movies would be made until after the end of the fiscal year. When asked when that would be, a spokescat replied, "In September sometime. I think. Maybe. How often are fiscal years?"
CurzTech Productions has reported record losses this year, citing the failure of even one video rental chain to purchase options on it's blockbuster hits, including "Top Cart", "Lowrider Cop", and "Lowrider Cop Meets Abbott and Costello".
The parent company of CurzTech Productions, CurzTech Publishing stated that while the numbers look bad, it wasn't really their fault that the last 30 minutes of each movie was in fact a scene involving "grapefruit, a monkey, and a straw". Movie audiences seemed to enjoy the films, which by some reports proved that people today have absolutely no taste anymore.
CurzTech Publishing, a Division of CurzTech International, had no comment.
